About The Position
Assembles supplies for surgical procedures, maintains the sterile field, passes surgical instrumentation, and assists in room preparation.
Requirements
- Work Experience: None.
- License/Registration/Certification: Current certification as a Surgical Technologist or Military training with proof of HB643.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Education and Training: Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist school/program or surgical scrub tech training through military.
- Skills: Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Possess effective oral communications skills.
- Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Surgical Technician.
- Ability to precept new staff and students in aseptic technique, instrumentation, and operative procedures.
