About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technician provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment, and the transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements

• National Certification as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA or NCCT, or completion of an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the military or Public Health Service.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• On-call availability for weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Hospital Operating Room scrub experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and lift, push, and pull.
