About The Position

Fast-paced, high volume Surgery department is looking for top skilled CST's. The position is for a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) SPL Specialist on a Fulltime Evening Shift. The Surgery Department averages 75 surgeries per day and is a Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures. The new hire will gain excellent clinical experience, particularly in robotics, complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases.

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of CST experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, or graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, vocational nurse program, or military training program in surgical technology.
• 2 years of recent experience in a surgical service specialty (robotics, cardiovascular/hearts, orthopedics, neurology) with a minimum of 150 cases performed in that specialty.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to providing independent patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, vocational nurse program, or military training program in surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgeries.
