Organization: Surgical Services Administration Job Summary: The Certified Surgical Technologist is an unlicensed member of the surgical team who scrubs and/or assists during surgical procedures. This position functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Certified Surgical Technologist provides direct and indirect patient care, for patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric by assisting in the preparation of the patient and environment for the performance of surgical procedures. It is the Certified Surgical Technologist's responsibility to know the Surgeon's routine and preferences. Position Shift: Full Time | Days | 7am – 7pm Call Requirement | 30-minute report-in time Additional details to be discussed during department interview. Sign on Bonus: This full-time position offers a $20,000 (taxable) bonus to be paid over 2 years. The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. Relocation Bonus: Eligible new hires may receive up to $10,000 (taxable) in relocation assistance, based on mileage, payable within 45 days of hire.
