About The Position
The Operating Room Technician, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct and indirect technical assistance to the surgeon and performs a variety of duties to assist the surgical team in care of surgical patients during the immediate pre-operative, and intra-operative phase. This is an AS NEEDED opportunity with variable days of the week.
Requirements
- Must have 1+ years of experience in an Operating Room.
- Certified Surgical Tech required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other members of the health care team to resolve patient care problems and enhance care delivery.
- Assists in the preparation for surgical cases assuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available.
- Performs scrub role as assigned for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Assists the surgical team in the transport, transfer, and positioning of patients in the operating room.
- Assists with the maintenance, care, cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and inventory of instruments, as directed.
