About The Position
Details Gross Rate up to $2,173 per week Department: Associate Travel Program - Surgical Services Schedule: Day Shifts available, 40 hours per week Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals Location: Local and national travel options are available dependent on need. This position is a permanent, full time position made up of 8-13 week assignments - not a short term option or temporary contract. Ability to extend as needed. Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

- One year of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities
- Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
- Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
- Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
