About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech or LPN position at Samaritan Medical Center involves working in the Operating Room department. The role is full-time temporary, requiring a commitment to 72 hours per pay period on the 12 N shift. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Candidates will assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients, performing routine and delegated duties under the direct supervision of an RN. The role includes maintaining a sterile surgical environment and ensuring the proper functioning of surgical equipment.

Requirements

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible.
• Approved pharmacology course or previous medication experience.
• Successful achievement in medications exam.
• Knowledge in cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instrumentation.
• BLS certification required.
• Desire to work within an Operating Room setting.
• Continuing education requirements of 15 CEUs per year.

Responsibilities
