Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the preparation and management of supply inventories and surgical equipment.
- Ensure operating room suite readiness and provide clinical/technical assistance as directed during operative and invasive procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of surgical instrumentation and prepare/assemble complex mechanical devices.
- Demonstrate strong anticipatory skills and dexterity.
- Stay updated on new products, procedures, and physician techniques.
- Support Surgical, CVOR, and GI services to provide an effective and safe patient/staff environment.
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant CST experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited school for Surgical Technology required.
- Certification as Surgical Technician required.
- BLS Required.
