About The Position

Midwest Specialty Surgery Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Tech to join our esteemed team. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients, while upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. You will prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures, and support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Additionally, you will support and participate in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years preferred.
• Surgical Tech certification required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures as a member of the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
