Working under direct and indirect surgeon supervision, you will support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative responsibilities to ensure optimal outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to function as an integral member of the surgical team. What You Will Do Demonstrate the organization’s mission and core values in all interactions. Adhere to all laws and regulations related to patient health, safety, and medical information. Assist with preoperative positioning, patient preparation, placement of catheters/IVs, tourniquets, and other required procedures. Provide intraoperative support including exposure, hemostasis, incision and layered closure, tissue manipulation, dressing application, and implant/device assistance. Support postoperative care including applying splints/casts, assessing skin integrity, and assisting with patient transfers. Perform specialty procedures such as vein or graft harvesting when appropriately trained. Participate in performance improvement activities and evaluate patient responses to care. Apply advanced knowledge of asepsis, wound healing, anatomy, physiology, and surgical techniques. What You Will Need Graduate of an accredited surgical assisting program. CSFA, CSA, or SA‑C certification required. Minimum 2 years OR experience as a surgical technologist or current certification. Strong knowledge of OR safety, infection control, equipment use, and teamwork. Flexibility to adapt to departmental needs. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical assisting program.
  • CSFA, CSA, or SA‑C certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years OR experience as a surgical technologist or current certification.
