About The Position

$7,500 sign-on bonus for offers accepted by February 28, 2026. Terms and conditions apply Come work at our ambulatory surgery center in the VCU Short Pump Pavilion. Monday-Friday day shift hours- no holidays, no weekends, no call! The Surgical Technologist II (operating room scrub technician) sets up sterile field, gathers supplies for surgical cases, based on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used. This position passes instruments to surgeons during surgery. This position also performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases. The Surgical Technologist II serves as a resource and preceptor to less experienced Surgical Technologists and takes call for routine and high acuity cases after orientation period. This role also learns, performs and completes assignments/responsibilities assigned during the transitional duty period.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C); or Certified Operating Room and Surgical Technician (CORST) certification required. CST is the preferred certification.
• Current AHA,BLS,HCP Certification
• Current CST; TS-C or CORST required
• Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Surgical Technologist
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or a military training program or Licensed Practical Nursing Program

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program
