About The Position

TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is hiring a Certified Surgical Spine Technologist! We are offering up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus! Welcome to TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital! TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital, is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Spine Technologist to join our team. TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is a fast-paced environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Certified Spine Surgical Technologist at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital The Certified Surgical Spine Technologist scrubs for spinal surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; CST certification is often preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a hospital
  • Prior spine surgery experience strongly preferred (orthopedic spine, neuro spine, or instrumentation cases)
  • Familiarity with spine trays, implants, and vendor coordination
  • Experience working in high-pressure situations and responding to surgical complications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons during cases with a strong focus on spine procedures (e.g., decompressions, fusions, instrumentation)
  • Set up and manage spine-specific instrumentation, implants, and equipment
  • Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient case flow
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesia, and vendors to support optimal outcomes
  • Ensure proper handling, counting, and documentation of surgical instruments and supplies
