About The Position

The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) at Providence Surgery Center provides direct support to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role is essential for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care. The CSFA functions as a key member of the perioperative team, assisting with operative procedures while strictly adhering to sterile technique, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols. Providence Surgery Center is an accredited ambulatory surgery center recognized by The Joint Commission, committed to high standards of patient safety and quality care. It is physician-owned and includes 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Treatment Room, supporting procedures across multiple specialties including Cardiac, ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Podiatry. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assist or equivalent program
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required
• Active certification and compliance with continuing education requirements
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, multispecialty surgical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred or as required by the center
• Multispecialty experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred
