About The Position

At SEPA Pain & Spine, you will join a well-established pain management practice that has been serving Southeast Pennsylvania for over 25 years. As a key member of the procedural team, this role involves assisting physicians during minimally invasive spine and pain management procedures within a safe and efficient operating environment. The position demands precision, technical expertise, and strong collaboration to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical assistant or surgical technology program
National certification (CSA, CSFA, or equivalent credential)
CPR/BLS certification
Experience in an OR setting required for first-assistant roles
Surgical assisting techniques, ability to close own
Instrument and equipment knowledge
Aseptic and sterile technique
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operations by controlling bleeding, suturing incisions, and ensuring the surgical field remains sterile
Operate C-Arm and fluoroscope under guidance/in conjunction with the Surgeon
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to surgical procedures
