About The Position
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) functions in a scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures including establishing and maintaining a sterile field, specimen handling, counts, medications/solutions, implants and instrument processing and may assist with circulating duties, as well as, participate in activities related to standards and quality improvement for the specialty and the department.
Requirements
- active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
- CST: Certified Surg Technologist
Nice To Haves
- knowledgeable of selected specialty
- ability in one-on-one demonstration of sterile technique
