About The Position

Do you have a bachelor's degree and an interest in becoming a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor? We have a full-time opening for a CSAC or CSAC-Supervisee for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Bristol Virginia The ideal candidate would work dayshift hours, some evening availability a plus We are looking for a qualified individual who has a heart for helping men in recovery from addiction to work in our Bristol location. Must have a bachelor's degree with coursework in a Human Services field. Our Certified Substance Abuse Counselors lead groups, manage a caseload to link/refer individuals to services in the community and work as part of an interdisciplinary team to help residents in their journey to recovery. Fairview Housing's Bristol Lifestyle Recovery provides low intensity residential treatment to men in recovery from addiction.

Requirements

Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with other agency personnel
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to intervene in crisis situations and support staff in navigating these crises successfully
Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Bachelor's degree with coursework in a Human Services field
Valid Driver's License
Background check & Drug screen required
