Certified Sterile Processing Technician - Memorial Hospital - Sterile Procesisng
About The Position
A Certified Sterile Technician maintains proper infection control procedures by cleaning, inspecting, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing all reusable items at ProMedica. You will make sure aseptic procedures are followed and comply with appropriate policies while performing Central Sterile duties. In this role, you will manage OR stock and supplies, monitor PAR levels and order supplies as needed. This position also will help nursing staff with patient admissions, transfers, discharges and transportation . Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Requires proficiency in technical procedures and to familiarity with a broad range of surgical instruments.
- Must be able to input and retrieve information from a computer.
- Must be able to differentiate colors, and operate sterilizer, washer-sterilizer, pasteurizer, computer, etc.
- Certification as a Central Service Technician
