About The Position

Validate the integrity and precision of complex surgical instrumentation to ensure every tool is mission-ready for the operating team and safe for the patient. Execute meticulous decontamination and sterilization protocols using advanced equipment to eliminate clinical risks and maintain the highest standards of patient safety. Optimize instrument sets and case carts by ensuring 100% accuracy in assembly, directly reducing delays in the surgical suite. Manage critical inventory levels and equipment readiness to ensure life-saving tools are available exactly when surgeons and patients need them most. Champion clinical excellence by conducting peer quality audits, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collective accountability within the department.

Requirements

  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience in all areas of Sterile Processing highly preferred.
  • Sterile Processing Certification required.
