Requirements

• Sterile processing certification through CBSPD or HSPA required.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• The ability to maintain good working relationships with providers and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Receives, sorts, cleans, and decontaminates soiled reusable instruments, equipment, and materials following manufacturer's instructions.
• Loads, operates, empties, and cleans decontamination equipment.
• Inspects, prepares, and sterilizes surgical instruments and other materials.
• Assembles trays and packets of instruments and medical supplies for surgical procedures.
• Loads and operates sterilizers, programs settings, and monitors temperature and other critical readings during run cycle.
• Monitors workflow and prioritizes work assignments to meet established schedules and clinical requirements.
