About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join an elementary self\-contained program focused on social\-emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral support. This full\-time, school\-year position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students build essential emotional regulation and coping skills in a structured, supportive environment. In this role, you will work closely with a small group of students who have individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and benefit from direct instruction in emotional and behavioral regulation. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including paraprofessionals, school counselors, and related service providers—to create a classroom culture that emphasizes consistency, respect, and growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral needs is preferred.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 or Special Education endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure collaborative support.
• Implement and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
• Create a safe, engaging learning environment that encourages self\-awareness and emotional resilience.
• Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student’s needs and goals.
• Provide individualized and small\-group instruction that supports academic and social\-emotional development.
