Position Overview: Manage five distinct special education classes for the remainder of the school year, providing high-quality, research-based instruction to diverse student needs. Develop, implement, and monitor compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including writing measurable goals, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery of all mandated services. Maintain meticulous student data using IEP Direct or similar systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting for progress monitoring and annual reviews. Collaborate with general education staff across school sites to facilitate co-teaching, implement modifications/accommodations, and ensure student success in the least restrictive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification (Code 165) (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience utilizing IEP data collection software such as IEP Direct or comparable systems (Preferred)
  • Prior experience working in a public school setting and a willingness to transition to another school within the district if required (Preferred)
