About The Position

The Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experience and supporting pharmacy operations. This position involves engaging with customers, assisting with their needs, and ensuring a positive interaction with the pharmacy. The technician will also assist pharmacists in various operational tasks, including prescription filling, inventory management, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations. Requirements

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
• Basic level PC skills (e.g., using a computer, accessing information online).
• Knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately.
• Register all related sales on the cash register and handle cash as required.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services in a timely manner.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities.
• Assist in administering clinical services and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Support execution of the Pickup program.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked and orderly.
• Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in process efficiency.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
