Pharmacy Code of Conduct, performing duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, and utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information accurately. The role also includes filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, checking for possible interactions, and reporting prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty. Additionally, the position requires adherence to company policies regarding Good Faith Dispensing and managing cash register transactions. The role also involves leading pharmacy department inventory management activities, maintaining knowledge of company asset protection techniques, and assisting in developing relationships with the local medical community. The position supports the execution of the Pickup program and ensures the Pharmacy Department is stocked and orderly. Coaching pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the correct use of processes and tools to drive efficiency is also a key responsibility. Finally, the role includes maintaining certification through the designated training program and attending training sessions as requested by the manager.

  • Assist in developing relationships with the local medical community.
  • Support execution of the Pickup program.

  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Basic level PC skills (e.g., using a computer, accessing information online).
