This includes reviewing and complying with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct, performing duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, and utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information accurately. The employee will fill prescriptions, verify medicines, check for possible interactions, and assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow. Additionally, the employee will report prescription errors, adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors, and handle cash transactions as required. The role also includes managing inventory activities, maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques, and assisting in clinical services as needed.

  • Assist in developing relationships with the local medical community.
  • Support execution of the Pickup program.
  • Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked and orderly.
  • Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers on processes and tools.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Basic level PC skills (e.g., using a mouse, starting and closing programs).
