Under the supervision of the pharmacist, the employee will assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. This includes reviewing and complying with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct, performing duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, and utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information accurately. The employee will fill prescriptions, verify medicines, check for possible interactions, and assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow. Additionally, the employee will report prescription errors, adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors, and handle cash transactions as required. The role also includes managing inventory activities, maintaining knowledge of asset protection techniques, and assisting in clinical services as needed.
