  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Assist in the practice of pharmacy under the supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Review and comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
  • Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
  • Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine correctness and check for possible interactions.
  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
  • Register all related sales on the cash register and handle cash as required.
  • Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services.
  • Lead Pharmacy Department inventory management activities.
  • Assist in analyzing and improving pharmacy financial and customer service performance.
  • Assist pharmacist in administering clinical services as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the local medical community.
  • Support execution of the Pickup program.
  • Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers in process efficiency.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Basic level PC skills (e.g., using a mouse, starting and closing programs).
