About The Position

The Obstetrical Technologist provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse. The Obstetrical Technologist demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures. The Obstetrical Technologist is responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique. The Obstetrical Technologist contributes to expected patient outcomes.
