About The Position

The OB Scrub Technician assists with patient care, setting up rooms for deliveries, etc., in the Labor & Delivery setting and is responsible for the preparation of, as well as providing, technical assistance to physicians during the performance of c-sections. He she is responsible for care, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized equipment, instruments, rooms, and supplies. Basic patient care functions are performed within established guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification.
  • Certified Scrub Tech certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Experience of six to 12 months on-the-job training.
  • BLS Certification (may be obtained within 6 months of employment).
  • NALS (NRP) Certification (may be obtained within first 6 months of employment).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an uncertified surgical technologist with 1 year experience.
