About The Position

As a Certified School Bus Driver at Zūm, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for students in the local community. This part-time role involves operating school buses according to established routes while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining vehicle safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Ability to drive a split shift daily (AM and PM route).
• Possess all valid applicable state licenses and other required certifications to operate company vehicles.
• Meet physical and medical requirements.
• Subject to DOT drug testing, DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations regarding the operation of vehicles for transporting pupils.
• Conduct vehicle inspections as required by regulations and company procedures.
• Report mechanical malfunctions to the appropriate Maintenance Shop personnel.
• Report to duty on time and operate vehicles on assigned routes as directed.
• Maintain scheduled routes to established time and mileage, notifying supervision of any changes or delays.
• Read and understand route sheets, including time changes, to ensure on-time performance.
• Exercise student management through communication and discipline per company policy.
