About The Position

Adelphi is seeking Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) to provide respiratory care and treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions at facilities in St. Louis, Missouri. The ideal candidate will administer respiratory treatments, maintain equipment, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support individuals with complex medical needs.

Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Experience performing respiratory therapy duties and treatments
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and clinical equipment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
  • Medicare/Medicaid credentialing eligibility required
  • Proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
  • Proof of a negative nine-panel drug screen
  • Fingerprint processing through the Missouri State Highway Patrol
  • Clean criminal history record
  • FBI fingerprint check if the provider has lived, worked, or attended school outside of Missouri
  • Abuse and neglect registry clearance

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians or advanced practice providers
  • Provide guidance to staff regarding respiratory therapy procedures and treatments
  • Deliver in-service education and training through lectures and demonstrations
  • Monitor respiratory equipment and report equipment needs or repairs
  • Maintain and oversee cleaning, sterilization, and repair of respiratory therapy equipment
  • Ensure adequate respiratory therapy supplies are available at all times
  • Monitor and check oxygen delivery systems and equipment throughout the facility
  • Document treatments and maintain accurate clinical records
  • Prepare clinical progress notes and administrative reports as required
  • Assist with respiratory therapy department planning and equipment needs
  • Coordinate treatment schedules based on patient care needs
