About The Position

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Verifies physician orders to carry out all aspects of respiratory care, and documents all respiratory activity, to ensure excellent quality care to all customers. Cleans and assembles equipment, and ensures supply stock levels to meet patient care commitments. Educates and instructs patient, patient's family, and team members on therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to ensure excellent communication to all customers. Possesses lifesaving skills for all age groups, while maintaining health care provider certification, to provide quality care to patients. Collaborates with team members to enhance and promote a team effort to provide timely and effective patient care. Fulfills continuing education requirements and maintains current licensure to maintain required qualifications.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Respiratory Care Degree Program
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 months
