About The Position

The Certified Respiratory Therapist at Del Sol Medical Center is responsible for providing safe and effective respiratory care to patients of all ages. This role involves assessing patient responses to medications, managing respiratory care equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The therapist will also engage in educational activities and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to a supportive and caring environment for both patients and staff.

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• STABLE certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) certification required.
• TMB Licensed Respiratory Therapist required.
• Associate Degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient respiratory care using knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain strict infection control techniques at all times.
• Assist in providing inservices for peers and staff at least four times a year and as assigned.
• Practice, develop, and endorse customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
• Implement Assess and Treat Protocols.
