About The Position

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will be required to float to all Toledo Market hospitals as needed. This position requires a thorough understanding of respiratory care procedures and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and other staff members.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active Ohio License to practice Respiratory Care required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must be registered by the National Board on Respiratory Care or certified if within six months of graduation from a Registry Program.
• Must attain RRT within 90 days of graduation or hire date.
• NRP certification required for Respiratory Therapists working in NICU.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in emergency airway management, extubation, tracheotomies, and naso- and oro-pharyngeal airways preferred.
• Competency in patient assessment and arterial punctures.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in various hospital settings.
• Float to different hospitals within the Toledo Market as required.
• Maintain an active license to practice Respiratory Care in accordance with state requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Healthcare Provider status in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
• Administer respiratory therapy procedures and medications as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments and operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
