Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area Responsible for troubleshooting and performing highly skilled electric arc, gas welding and curring, brazing, pipefitting and insulation installation and/or removal on all varieties of power plant equipment. Work includes a general range of highly skilled electric and gas welding brazing and cutting on boiler pressure parts, pressure vessels, and piping in accordance with the applicable ASME codes and which are subject to insurance underwriters inspection and certification. Perform other maintenance work on heavy mechanical equipment such as repair or replacement of leaking or weakened boiler tubes; structural steel erection; replacement of liner plates in fans, coal chutes and hoppers; welding repairs to castings and equipment; fitting and welding of all sizes of piping and valves, including items such as measuring, laying out, cutting, threading, bending, fitting and installation of pipe and tubing, replacement of flange, valve, and heater gaskets; valve repacking, repair and overhaul; cleaning and replacement of condenser and heat exchanger tubes; where applicable, the repair of traveling water screens. This position is within our Energy Center Shop Maintenance Department.
