About The Position

Join a mission-driven team that is transforming the lives of children and adolescents across Delaware County! Child and Family Focus is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality clinical care in our Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) alternative school settings. You’ll work with students ages 5 - 22, many of whom are high need both from a psychiatric and behavioral perspective as well as from a social determinants of health standpoint. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice nurse who values autonomy, teamwork, and meaningful impact. The role offers true work life balance with strictly school-day hours, no travel beyond your normal commute, and even some hybrid/remote flexibility during the summer months. When students aren’t present, you aren’t required to be on-site. This position is 24 hours per week, with flexible scheduling between 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may be distributed across the week or consolidated into three extended days, based on what best supports your personal and professional needs! No evening or weekend work is required!

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Board Certification: PMHCNS-BC or PMHNP-BC (Child & Adolescent MH Clinical Nurse Specialist or Family Psychiatric/MH Nurse Practitioner)
  • Current and unrestricted DEA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Active PA Advanced Practice Nursing licensure
  • Valid PROMISE number with PA

Nice To Haves

  • Credentialed with PA Medical Assistance, Magellan Behavioral Health, and commercial insurance carriers
  • Experience using EMR systems
  • Experience with Managed Care Organizations including commercial entities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Provide ongoing medication management
  • Complete clinical documentation per State Regulations and Managed Care Organization requirements
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision with a Psychiatrist for the first 90 days, then monthly thereafter
  • Serve as a key member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Senior Managing Director, and the administrative team
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, district staff, and community partners
  • Utilize EMR systems to document clinical activity
  • Maintain accurate charts, progress notes, and other program-specific paperwork
  • Participate in team meetings, including but not limited to, Clinical Rounds, Clinical Team meetings, and DCIU nursing meetings
