About The Position

This position involves caring for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for patients.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license with the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) upon hire.
  • Ability to work the hours specified.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
  • Determines a plan of care and communicating the plan of care to patient and family.
  • Establishes and maintains essential venous access.
  • Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway.
  • Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring.
  • Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia.
  • Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
  • Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
  • Performs as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.
  • Performs Neuraxial anesthesia (Epidural/spinal).
  • Performs Regional anesthesia peripheral nerve blocks.
  • Performs PICC/Midline insertion.
  • Utilizes Ultrasound.
  • Provides Obstetrics anesthesia.
  • Has the option for interventional pain management clinic.
  • Participates in a rotating 24-hour call schedule (2 weeks on, 1 week off, split equally among group of 3 CRNAs).
