UVA Department of Anesthesiology utilizes and embraces the 'Anesthesia Team care model', involving anesthesiologists, CRNAs, residents, SRNAs, and anesthesia technologists. The CRNA is a critical team member administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in a variety of settings: Main OR (vascular, trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ENT, gyn, plastics) outpatient surgical services, obstetrics, pediatrics, off sites (outpatient endoscopy center, cath lab, MRI, interventional radiology). Additionally, in the summer of 2022 the newly built state of the art Ivy Mountain Orthopedic Outpatient care facility will enable the CRNAs to expand their scope of practice to incorporate regional anesthesia with a variety of peripheral nerve blocks. No call, holidays, and weekends optional. Shift differentials for evenings & weekends.
