About The Position

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position at Fort Cavazos involves providing anesthesia for various surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. The role requires administering general, regional, local, and MAC anesthesia, performing pre-anesthetic evaluations, and managing post-anesthesia recovery. The CRNA will also be responsible for securing and managing patient airways, maintaining medical documentation in MHS Genesis, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), and Joint Commission standards. This is a full-time position with no call, weekends, or holidays, operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • NBCRNA certification.
  • Current, unrestricted RN and CRNA license in any U.S. state/territory.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or Red Cross, in-person only).
  • Minimum 2 years’ full-time CRNA experience within the last 3 years.
  • Active DEA registration (required prior to start).
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities
