The Certified Recreational Therapist is responsible for assessing client’s leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center. The Certified Recreational Therapist creates a safe environment for clients, provides direct supervision of clients, empowers clients, and teaches new tools for coping to clients. Requirements

Bachelors degree in Sports Management, Leisure Management, Recreational Therapy or other related field.
Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) required.
One year experience in working with a mental health population.

Nice To Haves

Prefer Activity Therapy experience.
Prefer knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management.
