About The Position

Arms Acres is seeking a Peer Advocate to join our Outpatient Team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide peer support services that empower patients throughout their recovery journey. The Peer Advocate will play a vital role in fostering engagement, promoting adherence to clinic policies, and supporting patients in achieving their personal recovery goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree preferred
  • Must be a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
  • Must obtain CPR certification within six months of hire.
  • EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of in-person support services across all phases of recovery, including pre-engagement, initiation, stabilization, and long-term maintenance and/or harm reduction.
  • Assist patients in developing and navigating their individualized recovery and treatment plans by helping them identify their strengths, challenges, and goals.
  • Encourage self-advocacy by supporting patients in voicing their needs and ensuring their goals and objectives are central to the clinical care process.
  • Conduct outreach to patients who have disengaged from treatment, including follow-up calls and coordination of appointments to help reestablish care and support continued recovery.
