Our Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program is creating the first hypersonic system for the U.S. Navy, and we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer Staff to join the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Platform Systems element as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) responsible for CPS Launcher Data Acquisition Systems (DAS). In this role, you will: Responsible for the requirements, design, production, and procurement oversight, acceptance test approval, and delivery of Launcher Data Acquisition Systems for CPS Launchers. Responsible for operation of Launcher Data Acquisition Systems during CPS Ground Test and Flight Tests Expectation to complete training and certification required to become a LM CPS Certified Principle Engineers (CPE). Travel Requirements: Travel expected for extended periods (up to 1 month durations at a time) to support significant test campaigns at government test ranges. Requirements

  • Experience with ground test system designs for data capture
  • Experience with system integration testing
  • Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • LM Space CPE or delegate training, experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Navy customer interaction (surface, submarine, or strategic systems)
  • Quality nonconforming material disposition support (repair, re-use determinations)
  • Failure Review Board technical support; Root Cause and Corrective Action training and experience
  • Active or Current Secret clearance
