Wesley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant PRN to assist the Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans, education, dismissal planning, and documentation with minimal supervision.   • Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing the patient's treatment plan, education, dismissal planning, and documentation.
  • Implement a written treatment plan based on the interpretation of the assessment, including measurable goals relative to the patient's age-specific needs and diagnosis.
  • Communicate verbally with the patient, family, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding the nature of the patient's disability, treatment plan, safety issues, and expected outcomes.
  • Assist in discharge planning for patients continuing rehabilitation services at another facility.
  • Document all patient-related activities in a thorough, clear, and timely manner consistent with medical center policies.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistant students during their clinical affiliations and provide education sessions to various groups.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist the organization in incorporating guiding principles into education practices.
  • Consistently meet established productivity requirements.
  • Contact physicians and office staff to promote Rehab services and Wesley Medical Center.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course.
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistance licensure in the state of Kansas.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
