About The Position
As a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Fred Meyer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the health and wellness initiatives of the company. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists in their duties while ensuring that all interactions with customers are conducted in a fair and ethical manner. You will be expected to create a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for both customers and employees, embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. In this position, you will provide direct patient intervention by delivering health and wellness services that are relevant to the patients, in accordance with state and federal laws. You will be responsible for accurately completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing, ensuring that customers receive the right products and services at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Your role will also involve compounding medications, performing post-fill audits, and supporting non-dispensing services through various platforms and applications. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other relevant regulations, while also identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions or illegal activities. This position requires a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, as you will support the coaching and training of clerks and technicians, ensuring that all team members adhere to the highest standards of safety and sanitation. Overall, your contributions will help Fred Meyer fulfill its mission to feed the human spirit by providing quality care and service to the community.
