About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Georgia Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Tech to join our team at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison- Jackson, GA. The position is full-time with a shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate ranges from $19.00 to $23.00.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist
• Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals and corrections and administrative staff

Responsibilities

• Typing prescription data into the pharmacy computerized filing system
• Ensuring proper maintenance and operation of a well-stocked pharmacy
• Ensuring prescription orders are faxed to the contracted pharmacy for processing
• Maintaining pharmacy files on prescriptions, requisitions, medication logs, drug and patient information, purchase orders, and other records as required by the Pharmacist
