SUMMARY Provide support to the Compounding Pharmacist by performing clerical, customer service, and housekeeping duties to ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. Demonstrates quality patient service during interactions with patients, coworkers, and vendors: · Exhibits a positive attitude and is flexible in accepting work assignments and priorities · Meets attendance and tardiness expectations · Is dependable; follows policies and procedures · Maintains professionalism in interactions with patients and coworkers · Performs quality work and consistently exhibits initiative
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- State of Ohio pharmacy technician certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- A Pharmacy Technician license preferred
Responsibilities
- Cleans the pharmacy room according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Stocks the cleanroom with necessary supplies used in compounding.
- Monitors the usage of each drug. Stocks and maintains inventory for each drug.
- Reviews, documents and files prescriptions.
- Prints drug orders and makes logs for the ordered drugs which includes entering the prescription into the system, printing labels and attaching the labels to the drug products.
- May compound drugs under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Other duties as assigned.
