About The Position

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent, preffered.
• Minimum of one year (1) required, preferable in a hospital setting.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
• Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada
• PTCB Certification

Nice To Haves

• High School graduate or equivalent, preffered.
• Minimum of one year (1) required, preferable in a hospital setting.
