Organization: MCC Rx Inpatient Tech - Eve Job Summary: Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Why You’ll Love Working Here Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm. Shift differential pay — evening shifts are eligible for shift differential. Full training provided — including non-sterile and sterile compounding and cleanroom competency. Hospital experience not required. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll support pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure every child receives the safest, most accurate medication therapy. Daily responsibilities include: Preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications to inpatient units. Stocking and managing automated dispensing cabinets. Compounding sterile and non‑sterile products (training provided). Assisting with STAT and batch medication preparation. Managing medication inventory and supplies. Providing excellent customer service to care teams. Using pharmacy computer systems and technology for safe medication distribution. Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA is required in order to be considered.
  • Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
  • Open to candidates with less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
  • Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
  • Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
