About The Position

Under supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs the technical tasks involved with the storage, distribution, packaging, labeling of medication and associated record-keeping and patient billing systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Three years of experience in an institutional setting is preferred.
• Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks involved with the storage of medication.
• Handle the distribution of medication.
• Package and label medication appropriately.
• Maintain associated record-keeping and patient billing systems.
