The ConcertoCare Pharmacy Technician Specialist assists pharmacists and providers with medication-related functions, reporting and processes. Top candidates will reside in the state of Washington or in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities
Remain knowledgeable of and continually review medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
Assist in day-to-day tasks as needed and requested by lead pharmacist or director of pharmacy.
Responsible for interacting with other departments to assist with member problems or questions and act as facilitator to resolve them regarding prior authorization or obtaining medications.
Attend scheduled team meetings and provide relevant feedback regarding workflow issues.
Assist pharmacist with disease management scheduling, pre-appointment preparation, and follow up tasks for medication education.
Process select medication list updates/medication reconciliation requests as requested by the clinical pharmacist, including but not limited to adding or deleting medications, changing medication doses or other prescription details as indicated from the most recent medication list in preparation for final check by provider or pharmacist.
Responsible for initiating and following through with patient assistance programs to help patients afford their medications.
Requirements
Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Three or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Current State Pharmacy Technician Certification and License if required
National Certification required
Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health record system
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
