Job Description Summary: JOB SUMMARY The Certified Pharmacy Technician Support Specialist for Population Health Pharmacy Services support ambulatory pharmacy programs by scheduling patients, coordinating prior authorizations and patient assistance programs, and supporting pharmacists with medication access and outreach. This role includes frequent phone-based patient support, insurance navigation, and use of excel for data tracking and reporting. Experience with community/retail experience and med rec desired.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma (Required)
Must be at least 18 years of age (Required)
Individual must be registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required)
Knowledge of community pharmacy operations, customer service excellence, basic medical terms and drug names. (Required)
Work requires a high school level of skills and good communication skills; the ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not difficult or complex; the ability to exchange information and explain instructions and/or procedures to employees, patients, and others; involves following existing procedures and instructions, sometimes receiving assignments in the form of results expected, due dates and general procedures to follow. (Required)
Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math skills, hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and various drug names (trade generic).

Nice To Haves

Advanced training/experience in prescription insurance, patient support programs, motivational interviewing, Microsoft Office products and an integrated electronic medical record. (Strongly preferred)
Post-high school education or equivalent self-directed development path desired.
