Organization: MCJCHV Rx Services Job Summary: Performs tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control. . Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician PRN to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team! Position Highlights Retail environment filling prescriptions, answering phone calls, setting up mail, and assisting the family of patients. Pharmacy hours are 7:00am to 11:00pm. Looking for Sunday daytime coverage and weekdays until 8:15 pm. Minimum 1-2 days a week availability offering at least 5 hours a day. Previous fast paced pharmacy experience is preferred. No drive thru, vaccine metrics, or working solo in this position. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.

Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
- Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
- Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists &/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
